What the $89 Service Call Covers
What the flat call-out buys, and how it comes off the repair once you say yes.
No band for this work
Quoted after the diagnosis
Attending is not repairing, so there is no band to print on this page. What the call-out buys is the diagnosis: the fault found, named and explained, with the repair itself quoted from a published band before any work begins.
$89 to come out
$89 flat brings a technician out and pays for the whole diagnosis, and it is taken off the bill the moment you approve the repair.
This is the one figure on the site that never moves. It brings a technician to the address and it pays for the diagnosis rather than the drive, and once you approve the repair it comes off what you owe. Viking Repair Denver quotes the rest only when the fault has a name — (303) 729-0972.
What the technician is doing for it
The fee buys the attendance of somebody who repairs this equipment for a living, in front of your machine, with it running. That means the fault is identified, the cause behind the fault is looked for, and you are told which of those two you are being asked to pay to fix.
How it comes off the repair
Say yes and the $89 is deducted from the repair figure, so the visit costs nothing on top of the work. Say no and it is all you owe, and you keep the diagnosis: what is wrong, what it takes to put right, and which published band it would have come from.
What that figure covers
- The drive out, whichever end of the sector the address happens to be
- Finding the fault on the machine itself rather than guessing at it down the phone
- Naming the part, the work and the band the repair will be quoted from
- Running the machine so the fault is witnessed and not merely described to us
What is a different job
- The repair, which is quoted from its band and begins only once you have said yes
- Parts of any description, ordered after the fault is known and never before
- Plumbing or wiring behind the machine, which belongs to a plumber or an electrician
What decides where in the span you land
- Which band the fault turns out to be in
- The visit ends by naming one of the six published bands, and that span is what your repair is then quoted from.
- Whether the machine has to come out
- Some faults are reached from the front. Others need the unit freed from its opening, and that is what moves a quote up inside its band.
- Whether more than one thing is wrong
- Two faults on one machine are quoted as two figures, both before anything starts, so you can take one now and leave the other for later.
- Whether the repair is worth doing
- If the honest answer is that it is not, you are told so at the end of the visit and the call-out is the whole of what you have paid.
The whole schedule, six bands and the call-out Every published band on one page, with what each one covers.
